14: Laughter
Get together with your loved ones and have a night of laughter where you watch all of your favorite comedy movies together. Or dress up and go to the photo booth at the mall, making funny faces the whole time. Or go to a comedy club and laugh the night away with an audience. Whatever it takes, just make sure to do something that makes you laugh.
13: Adventure Time
A change of scenery may be in order. Now is a great time to go somewhere you've never been before or go on that trip you've always planned on taking. So where to? California? New York? Seattle? It's your choice!
12: Read
Reading is a great way to escape a harsh reality. Not that you should sweep your feelings under the rug, but sometimes you just don't want to think about it any more. In those times, a good book and cup of tea can be the perfect remedy. We suggest books that will make you feel better like "MWF Seeking BFF", "The Diary Of Bridget Jones" or even something high energy like Harry Potter.
11: Pray/Meditate
If you pray, fast, read scriptures or meditate, this is a great time to do those things. Whatever you can do to be lead to peace is important. You know what will be right for you so don't ignore those quiet moments that calm your mind and broken heart.
10: Reminders
When you're feeling down, you may need little reminders to stay happy and to see life for the wonderful thing that it is. Leave yourself reminders all over your house. Set up little notes on your fridge or on the bathroom mirror that reinforce nice things.
9: Hobbies
When we get into serious relationships, sometimes we can let go of our favorite hobbies. Maybe you used to study music but haven't had the time for it. Now that you're out of the relationship, take that extra time and fill it up with something you love to do or you may even find a new hobby.
8: Favorite Place
Everyone has that special place that always makes them feel okay. Maybe it's the beach, the woods or just a coffee shop in your neighborhood. Wherever it is, try going there and just letting the experience take you somewhere positive.
7: Change Your Outlook
After a breakup, it's easy to see things with a "glass is half empty" outlook but if you surround yourself with positive people, go places that give you a positive outlook and do things that make you feel good about yourself then you'll start to see that a breakup never has to break you down.
6: Since U Been Gone
A breakup doesn't have to be a bad thing! Some relationships are just toxic and now that it's over, you can get what you want in life.
5: Pamper Yourself
Get together with some loved ones and go to a spa or do some facials at home while you paint your nails together. Splurge on that cologne you've been eyeing or get your hair styled in a new way. There's nothing like being pampered to bring your mood up!
4: Family
No one knows you like your family does. You may not have spent that much time with your family while you were in a relationship so you probably have a lot to catch up on. Spend your time with them and re-kindle that relationship with your siblings, parents and other family members.
3: Distance
The longer the relationship, the harder it will be to separate yourself from them. The most important thing you can do for the first few weeks is distance yourself from the other person. It will be hard if you have the same friends, work in the same area or go to the same school but it's important to get that space for now.
2: Friends
It's so important to have someone there during the ups and downs. Get together with your best friends and you'll get through this time together!
