The Republican National Convention 2012

#15 Quotable Night

Our favorite Romney quote of the night was this one “In the richest country in the history of the world, this Obama economy has crushed the middle class”. It may have been sassy but we’re not completely sure how classy it was supposed to be.

15: Quotable Night
Our favorite Romney quote of the night was this one “In the richest country in the history of the world, this Obama economy has crushed the middle class”. It may have been sassy but we’re not completely sure how classy it was supposed to be.
14: Red Slippers
Kansas Republican State Chairman Amanda Adkins was seen wearing red shoes like Dorothy from “Wizard of Oz”. Didn’t she know she wasn’t in Kansas anymore?
13: Cheese Head
Wisconsin delegate Sol Grosskopf was seen cheering on Mitt Romney during his speech. That is nothing out of the ordinary coming from a Republican at the national convention but his cheese hat made it into a real photo op! Who says Republicans can’t have fun?
12: Janine Turner
Actress Janine Turner was one of the surprises of the convention. The “Friday Night Lights” star was not only in attendance but she gave a heartfelt speech.
11: In Protest
During Rick Santorum’s speech, a protester stood up and began shouting at him and booing. She had to be taken away from the building by security guards.
10: Rick Santorum
Rick Santorum spoke on the second day of the convention, showing support to the Republican party and Mitt Romney. Santorum is a former Republican presidential candidate that dropped out of the race earlier this year.
9: Chris Christie
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie made the keynote speech at the convention. He was originally a hopeful running mate for Romney but turned the opportunity down to complete his work as a governor. This is one of the most honorable opportunities a politician can be given.
8: Artur Davis
Artur Davis is an attorney and politician. He was formerly a Democrat and even supported Obama on his campaign in 2008 but has since changed his party affiliation to Republican. He gave his first major speech as Republican at the convention.
7: Romney and Rice
Condoleezza Rice and Mitt Romney sat next to each other for some of the convention. They looked like they were having a great time!
6: Not Giving Up
Romney was just full of quotable moments at the convention. One of our favorites was this one “Many Americans have given up on this president but they haven’t ever thought about giving up. Not on themselves. Not on each other. And not on America” because it was an insult and a message of hope all at the same time!
5: Sons
While watching the speeches given by their parents, the five Romney sons had tears in their eyes. They were especially emotional during their mother's speech.
4: Ann Romney
Ann Romney made a moving speech that night. She made sure to appeal to the women of America saying “It's the moms of this nation -- single, married, widowed -- who really hold this country together. I love you women!”
3: Promises
Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts wanted to make sure the voters were focusing on the economy. He made several promises that night including a promise to restore jobs, level the playing field for Americans that have become lower class in the last four years and make sense of health care plans.
2: Mia Love
Mia Love is a woman to watch! She is a Republican Utah congressional candidate and if she wins, she will be the first black Republican woman in congress. She gave a powerful speech saying “We’re not better off than we were four years ago and no rhetoric, bumper sticker or Hollywood campaign ad can change that!”
1: Paul Ryan's Speech
Vice President nominee Paul Ryan might be on the right track. During his speech he said "We have a plan for a stronger middle class, with the goal of generating 12 million new jobs over the next four years." That sounds like an America we can believe in!
